My name is Dee Haase and I’m in charge of the Cheerleading program at the middle school and high school. Email me at deehcoach1961@gmail.com

Program Description:
NRHS and NRMS cheer offers opportunities for 7th -12th graders to participate in fall cheerleading (football) as well as winter cheerleading (basketball).  Squad size ranges from 8-16 athletes for each season.

Our cheer program welcomes athletes of all talent levels.  Interested students are encouraged to attend our tryout clinics, which are held in the spring.  Requirements for tryouts include, but are not limited to: cheer, chant, dance and jumps.  Tumbling is not a requirement, but there is an option at tryouts to display these skills. NoRo cheer is looking for athletes who posses or are willing to learn strong basic cheer skills, such as motions, spirit and the ability to perform in front of a crowd!

Both the middle school and high school cheer programs practice at MCE Cleveland, located on York Road in North Royalton, minutes from the school campus.  Practicing at the facility provides the use of equipment that assists in the progression of the skills of our athletes.  With the utilization of the tumbling track, spring floor and wall-to-wall mirrors, our athletes have every outlet available to them to be the best that they can be!

Over the summer months the cheerleaders attended an overnight camp at MCE where they will learn all material for their seasons and will participate in significant team building exercises.  Additionally, there is a mandatory 4-day cheer camp (chant week) that the middle school will attend with the high school, again at MCE, where all athletes will work together on their chants and cheers!  Summer practices include a 2-hour practice twice a week, and during school a 2-hour practice once a week and cheering at games.

Currently the middle school cheer program does not travel to away games and does not compete.  As for the High School our Varsity Fall cheerleaders compete at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School for the Suburban League Cheerleading Competition on November 2nd.  For more information please do not hesitate to contact Coach Haase.
