On Monday, February 15th, the Girls Varsity Gymnastics Team competed in the state sectional meet. The girls were up against some of the best teams in the State of Ohio. Coaches Greg Ganim and Jodi Napier could not be prouder of how the team performed. Every team member challenged themselves and took on exercises and added elements to their performances that back in October when training started they could not imagine they would be pushing themselves to do. They executed outside their comfort zone and did not hold anything back. The result produced the girls highest team score of the season 127.00 points. The down side the Northeast Sectional features some of the best teams in the state, so the result was 6th place out of 19 teams. Only the top 4 scoring teams move onto the district meet. Brecksville-Broadview Heights took first with 150.0, Berea-Midpark with 140.375, Stow with 135.175, Strongsville with 132.2, Hoover with 130.45 and North Royalton with 127.0.
The team would like to thank their fellow students, boosters, and their parents for the wonderful support all season long.
