North Royalton Girls Cross Country Team Competes at Bruce Lerch Invitational in Brecksville
The Girls XC Team placed 7th out of 21 teams at the Bruce Lerch Invitational in Brecksville on Saturday, September 9th. A hilly course made for a challenging day for the runners.
Overall times were slower but the team result was better than last week.
Girls Varsity Finishers were:
Freshman Lauren Devney finished first on the team with a time of 21:59.39 and finished 26th overall.
Junior Juliet Rayer finished second with a time of 22:06.55, 29th overall.
Sophomore Ashley Chippy finished third with a time of 22:09.58, 33rd overall.
Junior Jordan Saunders finished fourth with a time of 22:47.64.
Sophomore Megan Garnet finished fifth with a time of 22:55.14.
Sophomore Jenna Fenohr finished sixth with a time of 22:57.04.
Sophomore Alex Doehrmann finished seventh with a time of 23:23.98.
Freshman Natalie Rayer finished eight with a time of 23:26.98.
Senior Captain Alex Kuzma did not finish due to injury.
The top three finishers for the Girls Open were:
Freshman Atheer Amir finished first on the team and 2nd overall with a time of 22:11.74.
Junior Mackenzie Morgan finished second on the team and 13th overall with a time of 24:08.93.
Sophomore Nicole Jones finished third on the team and 14th overall with a time of 24:20.42.
Freshman Halle Walker finished fourth on the team and 20th overall with a time of 24:43.55.
