The Girls Varsity Cross Country Team enjoyed cooler temperatures and a fast course to post good times at the Paul Primeau Invitational at Gilmour Academy on Friday, September 29th.
The Varsity Team finished in 4th place out of 11 teams. The top finisher for the Bears was Junior Juliet Rayer with a time of 20:11, good for 10th place. Top twenty finishers were Sophomore Jenna Fenohr with a time of 20:20 (15th) and Sophomore Ashley Chippy with a time of 20:31 (19th). Other Varsity finishers were Freshman Lauren Devney 20:40 (21st), Senior Elise Chojnacki 20:40 (24th), Senior Alex Kuzma 20:54 (29th), Junior Mackenzie Morgan 20:58 (31st), Sophomore Alex Dohrmann 21:10 (36th) and Junior Jordan Saunders 21:11 (37th).
The Open Team finished in 2nd place. Senior Olivia Reichenbach finished in 2nd place overall with a time of 21:17 and Sophomore Megan Garnet finished 3rd overall with a time of 21:20. Top twenty finishers were Sophomore Nicole Jones 21:43 (11th), and Atheer Amer 21:50 (13th). Other finishers included Senior Larissa Gaborick 23:10 (35th), Junior Mackenzie Williams 23:20 (39th) and Freshman Halle Walker 23:47 (45th).
