Girls Middle School Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · The Girls Varsity Cross Country Team Finished in Fourth Place at the Suburban Championships


The Girls Varsity Cross Country Team competed at the Suburban Championships at Silver Creek Metro Park in Norton on Saturday, October 14th.

The Girls Varsity Team finished in a tie for fourth place with Nordonia.  Hudson won the meet with Stow coming in second place and Wadsworth finishing third.

Top finishers were sophomore Jenna Fenohr with a time of 20:37 (17th overall), junior Juliet Rayer with a time of 20:42 (18th overall), and freshman Lauren Devney with a time of 20:53 (20th overall).  Also contributing to the team score were senior Elise Chojnacki with a time of 21:25 (27th overall), sophomore Ashley Chippy with a time of 21:29 (30th overall), junior Jordan Saunders with a time of 21:32 (32nd overall) and senior Olivia Reichenbach with a time of 21:49 (38th overall).  Other varsity finishers were sophomore Megan Garnet (22:03, 48th overall), junior Mackenzie Morgan (22:43, 63rd overall)  and freshman Amer Atheer (22:48, 65th overall).

The Girls Open team finished in eighth place.  Top finishers were freshman Natalie Rayer with a time of 23:46 (22nd overall), senior Larissa Gaborick with a time of 24:07 (31st overall), junior Mackenzie Williams with a time of 24:29 (33rd overall), senior Rachel Dietz with a time of 24:56 (44th overall), freshman Julianna Watrobski with a time of 26:11 (63rd overall), junior Claudia Mendek with a time of 27:05 (68th overall) and freshman Elizabeth Smith with a time of 27:30 (71st overall).

Congratulations to all the runners and coaches!  The Varsity Team will compete at the District Tournament in Medina on Saturday the 21st.  Good luck Lady Running Bears!
