On Tuesday, September 27th, the Boys 7th Grade Football team travelled out to take on the Hudson Explorers. The Bears started out hot and scored first. However, they quickly fizzled and were faced early on with some adversity being down 20 – 6. Then, the Bears caught fire wreaking havoc on the Explorers through the air and defensively causing several turnovers. The Bears made it an exhilarating game and finished in a tie with a final score of 26 to 26.

The Bears offensive charge was led by its offensive line by doing a great job blocking and protecting. Scoring for the Bears were Grady Baugh on 65 yard touchdown run and a 65 yard touchdown pass, NIck Safranik had 2 touchdown catches for 65 yards and 45 yards as well as a 2 point conversion catch and quarterback Joe Kinney threw for over 350 yards and had 3 touchdown passes for the bears.

The Bears defense came up with 2 takeaways both by Mannix Wasco with a fumble recovery and an interception. Logan Straight also had a key pass breakup. Great job Bears!

The Boys 7th Grade Football Team record is now at 1 win, 2 losses and 1 tie. The Bears will look to add to their success as they head to Wadsworth next Tuesday, September 24th at 4:30 PM to take on the Grizzlies. GO BEARS!!
