On Wednesday, September 18th, the Boys 8th Grade Football Team hosted Hudson Middle School. The Bears lost a heartbreaker to undefeated Hudson by a score of 20 to 18.

The Bears stopped a Hudson opening drive by Jack Wise recovering a fumble. Later in the game strong safety Luke Koprowski also stopped a Hudson drive with a fumble recovery. The Bears scored first as quarterback Tim Sullivian connected with running back A.J. Mack for a 55 yard touchdown pass. The team was down 20 to 6 but fought back to make it 20 to 18 with 0:38 seconds left. Unfortunately the team missed the two point conversion to tie the game. Running back Cody Miller scored two touchdowns on runs of 25 yards and 8 yards.

The 8th Grade Boys Football Team record is now at 2 wins and 1 loss. The coaches are extremely proud of the way the team played as they did not quit and played as hard as they could for 32 minutes. The Bears must now prepare for another tough opponent as they host and take on Wadsworth Middle School on Wednesday, September 25th at 4:30 PM. This is our tailgate game. Let us pack the stadium to cheer on the team to victory. GO BEARS!!
