On Friday, May 11th, the Boys Freshmen Baseball Team hosted Holy Name High School. 30 runs were put up on the scoreboard for the second straight Friday but this week the BEAR WON! 16-14

Cole Huzl was on fire in the game getting on base 4 of the 5 times he batted scoring 4 runs and playing a solid second base. Killian O’Callahan reached base all 5 times he batted and scored 4 runs. Bryce Goloja was on base 4 of the 5 time he batted and scored 4 runs. Mike Kelly reached base 4 of his 5 at bats scoring 2 times and had a good game at shortstop. Allen Moore had a huge double to knock in 2 runs.

Matt Labanc got the WIN on the mound in relief. He pitched 4 and 1/3 innings coming in and getting the final out in the third inning stopping a Green Wave rally. He also struck out 8 giving up 4 hits and only 3 runs.

The Bears offense was on fire early batting around the first 2 innings and also sending 8 to the plate in 2 other innings.

The Boys Freshmen Baseball Team record is now at 8 wins and 11 losses with a Suburban Conference League record of 6 wins and 5 losses.
