On Saturday May 1st, the Boys Freshman Baseball Team travel to play a doubleheader with North Ridgeville High School. In game one, The Bears did not allow a run and beat North Ridgeville 10 – 0.

The Freshman Bears secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was possible thanks to walks by Ryan Miezin, Brody Nahrstedt, and Logan File, a sac fly by Luke Koprowski, and a double by AJ Dezzutti.

AJ Maruniak earned the win for the Bears. AJ pitched five innings, and did not allow a run on two hits and seven striking outs and no walks.

Jack Heffke, Maruniak, Mario Escano, and Dezutti each managed one hit to lead the Bears. The Bears defense was outstanding and didn’t commit a single error in the field.

The Boys Freshman Baseball Team record is now at 13 wins and 5 losses. The conference record is 5 win and 1 loss. GO BEARS!!
