On Tuesday, January 12th, the Boys Freshmen Basketball Team traveled to take on Stow-Munroe Falls High School. The Bears defeated the Bulldogs in a thrilling overtime game by the score of 58 to 55.
Brody Nahrstedt drilled a three pointer as time expired in regulation to tie the game and send the game to overtime. Jacob Whiteman scored 4 in overtime including a pair of clutch free throws with 10 seconds left giving the Bears a 3 point lead. Brady Sasse came up with a defensive steal on Stow’s final possession to secure the win.
The Bears were led by Brody Nahrstedt who poured in a career high 34 points to lead the Bears. Brady Sasse scored 9 points including 3 three pointers. Jacob Whiteman dropped in 7 points, Chris Toro scored 4 points and AJ Mack and Logan File added 2 points apiece.
The Boys Freshmen Basketball Team has now won 4 straight to move their season record to 4 wins and 2 losses. They play again on Friday night, January 15th at Twinsburg High School with tipoff scheduled for 4:30 PM. GO BEARS!!
