On Saturday, May 1st, the Boys JV Baseball Team hosted North Ridgeville High School. The Bears took an early lead and beat North Ridgeville 12 – 6.

In the second inning David Swab singled on a ground ball past the shortstop. Angelo Puleo was then hit by a pitch. Dylan Crowe singled to left to load the bases. Nick Falasco singled and Swab scored and Puleo advanced to third and Crowe advanced to second. Sam Schraffran singled and Puleo scored and Crowe advanced to third and Falasco advanced to second. Alex Trivonovich singled and Crowe scored and Falasco advanced to third and Schraffran advanced to second. Kyan Davis grounded out to second and Falasco scored . The Bears led 4 – 0.

The Bears added to their lead by scoring six runs in the fourth inning. Falasco started the inning by getting hit by a pitch. Schraffran grounded into a fielder’s choice and forced out Falasco advancing to second. Trivonovich singled and Schraffran advanced to second. Davis single to load the bases. Nate Sawyer walked and Schraffran scored. Swab singled and Trivonovich scored. Connor Vranic was hit by a pitch and Davis scored. Puleo walked and Sawyer scored. Falasco was hit by a pitch and Swab scored. Schraffran walked and Vranic scored. Bears led 10 – 0.

North Ridgeville got back in the game when they scored six runs in the top of the fifth.

The Bears came right back and scored two runs in the fifth. Davis singled to center field. Cody Miller came into the game to pinch run for Davis. Sawyer singled to center field and Miller scored and Sawyer advanced to second on the throw. Sawyer advanced to third on a ground ball and then scored on a pass ball. Bears led 12 – 6.

Jack Boyko started the game and pitched 4.1 innings. Jack allowed 4 hits, 3 runs (0 earned), 4 walks and 2 strikeouts. Garrett Polverine pitched the last 2.2 innings, allowed 7 hits, 3 runs, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.

The Boys JV Baseball Team record is now at 11 wins and 7 losses and a conference record of 5 wins and 3 loss. Come cheer on the team as they host Brecksville-Broadview Hts. High School on Tuesday, May 4th. at 4:30PM. GO BEARS!!
