On Wednesday, February 6th, the Boys JV Basketball Team hosted Holy Name High School. The Bears almost gave the game away and defeated the Green Wave 56 to 52. The Bears pretty much dominated and controlled the game leading by 17 after three quarters. However, the Bears let their foot off the gas peddle and the Green Wave would not give up. With less than one minute the go, the Green Wave had a chance to the tie the game. Killian O’Callahan caused a Green Wave turnover which led the Bears to close out the game with free throws from Daylin Riley.

Daylin Riley started the game on fire as he scored the Bears first 10 points including 2 three pointers giving the Bears a 10 to 0 lead 3 minutes into the game. Riley finished with 27 points and 5 three pointers. Killian O’Callahan, also in double figures, finished with 16 points. Finishing out the scoring for the Bears were Max Bunsey with 3 points and Nate Sprecher, Justin Penkalski, Brody Shields, Dom Costello and Cole Huzl with 2 points each.

The Boys JV Basketball Team record is now at 13 wins and 3 losses. Come cheer them on as they travel to take on rival Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School on Friday, February 8th at 6:00 PM. GO BEARS!!
