North Royalton High School vs Wadsworth Senior High School
60 110

On Wednesday, January 13th, the Girls Varsity Swim Team were able to get back into competition as they traveled south to take on Wadsworth High School. The Grizzlies welcomed our team and recognized the senior swimmers on both teams. After the cookies were passed out and the pictures were taken, the meet began. The Girls’ team put up a fight, swimming hard, but came up short as they lost to the Grizzlies 110 to 60. However, our boys were able to pull through, even with a few missing swimmers and achieved a victory winning 85 to 70.

“The girls team continued to show growth and improvement”, said Coach Mike Milliken.
He went on to say that some of our newer swimmers, like Kira Cheren and Eden Forcht, are really working hard to learn all of the competitive strokes. Both of those girls swam the 100 breaststroke for the first time, which is a big contribution to the team, as we are thin in that event. Freshmen Maram Zayour and Hope Campbell have been steadily improving and are making significant contributions both individually and on relays. Senior Mariam Zayour remained dominant, winning both of her individual events.

We wish our swimmers the best as they continue to finish the 2020-2021 season healthy and successful! GO BEARS!!
