Bears Beat Valley Forge, 1-0

Bryce Zeleznik’s goal in double overtime was enough to propel the Bears into district play with a 1-0 sectional win over Valley Forge. The second-seeded Bears were set to play on Oct. 28 against No. 3 Lakewood. The winner will take on state title hopeful St. Ignatius in a 4 p.m. district final on Halloween

Bears Boys Soccer Win In Double Overtime, 1-0

Last night in the postseason District Quarterfinals, the North Royalton Bears Boys Soccer Team defeated Valley Forge 1-0 in Double Overtime. Boys Soccer #2 Seed in Postseason

The Bears are seeded second in the top-heavy University Heights Division I District, behind No. 1 St. Ignatius, which was a unanimous choice. The Bears also were unanimous at No. 2. The third and fourth seeds went to Lakewood and St. Edward. North Royalton will start postseason play at home against either No. 5 Valley

Roller Coaster Week for Boys Soccer

Last week for the Bears was a roller coaster of emotions. North Royalton opened the week with a thrilling 3-2 win over rival Brecksville to improve to 3-1 in SL play. Boys Soccer Off to Great Start

Varsity Boys Soccer 3-0 A balanced effort has carried North Royalton to a perfect 3-0 start as six different players have scored goals in wins over Elyria Catholic (9-0), Twinsburg (5-1) and Aurora (2-1). Junior Evan Neczypor leads the way with five goals, while senior Cory Smigel and junior Bryce Zeleznik each have three tallies.
